A considered choice.

01 / THE OVERVIEW

Clarity from the start.

Citizenship by investment is a government application process with financial, documentary and due-diligence requirements. It is not simply the purchase of a passport. The best comparison looks at eligibility, family inclusion, total costs, qualifying routes, ongoing obligations and current travel access. Use the country profiles below to identify the questions that matter before you commit.

Antigua & Barbuda

Fund, approved real estate & other authorised routes

Antigua and Barbuda offers several qualifying routes, including the National Development Fund, approved real estate, approved business investment and the University of the West Indies Fund. The relevant route depends on family size, budget and your preference for a contribution or an investment.

WHO IT MAY SUIT

Families comparing several contribution and asset-based options.

The UWI route has a minimum family-size requirement. Ongoing obligations and route-specific conditions must be checked before application.

Dominica

Economic Diversification Fund or approved real estate

Dominica’s programme provides an Economic Diversification Fund contribution route and an approved real-estate route. The official EDF starting contribution is US$200,000 for a main applicant, with additional family and processing costs assessed separately.

WHO IT MAY SUIT

Applicants comparing a direct contribution with an approved property investment.

The minimum contribution is not an all-inclusive price. Citizenship and passport issuance depend on the government’s assessment.

Grenada

National Transformation Fund or approved project investment

Grenada provides a contribution to the National Transformation Fund and an investment route through approved projects. The choice should consider family eligibility, full application costs and the nature of any underlying property interest.

WHO IT MAY SUIT

Applicants considering Grenadian citizenship alongside a documented long-term family or business plan.

Do not treat citizenship as a guarantee of a visa to a third country. Any onward immigration application has its own requirements.

Saint Lucia

National Economic Fund & other approved options

Saint Lucia’s programme includes a National Economic Fund route and other approved investment categories. Availability and conditions must be checked for the route being considered, including approved real-estate, enterprise or government-bond options where open.

WHO IT MAY SUIT

Applicants who want to compare the structure, recoverability and obligations of different qualifying routes.

An investment labelled recoverable is still subject to its terms, holding period and risks. No return or resale is guaranteed.

St Kitts & Nevis

Sustainable Island State Contribution & approved investments

St Kitts and Nevis offers the Sustainable Island State Contribution and other approved investment pathways. The official SISC starting amount is US$250,000 for the main applicant or a family of up to four, before additional applicable fees.

WHO IT MAY SUIT

Individuals and families comparing a contribution route with an approved investment alternative.

Programme categories and conditions can change. The amount and route must be reconfirmed before a commitment is made.

Vanuatu

Development Support Programme — route review required

Vanuatu has an investor-citizenship framework, including the Development Support Programme. The current route, authorised channel and applicable nationality restrictions must be verified before an application is prepared.

WHO IT MAY SUIT

Applicants evaluating Vanuatu on its actual programme terms and travel arrangements.

Vanuatu must not be marketed as providing visa-free Schengen access: the EU ended its visa exemption. Check current entry rules for every destination relevant to you.

Türkiye

Qualifying real estate & other statutory investment routes

Türkiye offers an exceptional citizenship route through qualifying investments. The official property route requires at least US$400,000 of qualifying real estate and a restriction on resale for at least three years, together with the applicable compliance and application steps.

WHO IT MAY SUIT

Applicants whose plans include qualifying property ownership in Türkiye.

A property purchase alone does not complete a citizenship application. Legal, currency, market and resale risks require independent assessment.

Programme overview reviewed 28 September 2026. Investment figures shown are route-specific starting amounts, not all-inclusive quotations. Current eligibility and terms are reconfirmed before application.

03 / PREPARE

Your starting checklist.

The exact document list is confirmed for your circumstances. This checklist helps you prepare for the first discussion.

• Valid passports, identity documents, photographs and residence history.

• Birth, marriage, divorce, adoption or dependency records relevant to the family application.

• Police certificates from the jurisdictions required by the selected programme.

• Evidence of employment, business ownership, income and the lawful source of funds.

• Banking records, references and financial supporting documents requested by the programme.

• Medical records or certificates in the required format where applicable.

• Certified translations, legalisations and declarations required for the chosen route.

04 / HOW IT WORKS

A clear path forward.

01 / STEP

Understand your goals

Discuss your nationality, family, budget, travel priorities and relevant background before choosing a country.

02 / STEP

Assess eligibility and routes

Compare realistic options and identify restrictions, document gaps and the appropriate authorised application channel.

03 / STEP

Prepare the file

Coordinate identity, family, financial and background documents. Resolve inconsistencies before submission.

04 / STEP

Submit and respond

Support the agreed submission process, interviews and requests for further information through the appropriate channel.

05 / STEP

Complete approved steps

Follow the programme’s required payment or investment sequence, certification and passport formalities after the relevant approvals.

05 / PLAN AHEAD

Costs. Timing. Expectations.

Agree the scope and understand the full picture before proceeding.

• The overall budget can include contribution or investment, government processing, due diligence, interviews, passport charges and professional fees.

• Family size and dependant ages can materially change the quotation. Translations, legalisation and travel may be additional.

• A contribution is generally different from an asset investment; review recoverability, holding requirements and commercial risks.

• Processing estimates are not promises. Government checks, document requests and the applicant’s circumstances determine the outcome and timing.

06 / ANSWERS

Know before you begin.

Is approval guaranteed if I pay the investment amount?

No. Authorities decide applications after the required checks. Funds should be committed only through the documented programme process and the appropriate professional or authorised channel.

Can my spouse and children be included?

Many programmes allow eligible dependants, but definitions, ages, dependency evidence and fees differ. Share the full family composition before comparing costs.

Will a second passport provide visa-free entry everywhere?

No. Entry rules vary by passport, destination and purpose of travel, and can change. A visa waiver also does not grant an unrestricted right to work, study or settle in another country.

Do I have to give up my current nationality?

That depends on the laws affecting your existing nationality and the new citizenship. Review dual-nationality consequences for your circumstances before applying.

Are the listed figures complete package prices?

No. Where an official starting figure is shown, it relates to a specific qualifying route. Government, family, due-diligence and professional charges must be added as applicable.

How do I choose between a contribution and real estate?

Compare the total cost, holding period, risk, liquidity and the actual property interest offered. Programme approval of a project is not a guarantee of financial return.

Does citizenship change my tax residency?

Not automatically. Citizenship, immigration residence and tax residence are separate questions. Obtain advice based on where you live, earn income and hold assets.
