AUTHORITY / PRECISION / CONTROL
Give a trusted representative the authority to complete a defined task. STF helps you prepare a Power of Attorney around its purpose, the powers required and the organisation that will receive it.

01 / THE OVERVIEW
A Power of Attorney allows another person to act within the authority you grant. It should be drafted for the job it needs to do, not treated as a generic permission letter. We help clarify your instructions, prepare the wording and coordinate the relevant notarisation and document formalities. Acceptance is checked against the requirements of the receiving authority, bank, developer or other organisation.
02 / YOUR OPTIONS
01 / SERVICE
Property authority may be needed when an owner cannot attend to a purchase, sale, gift or management task personally. The intended transaction determines the powers to include.
• Identify the property and the precise transaction or management purpose.
• Set out the permitted signing, registration and document-handling actions.
• Clarify whether payment, bank or developer-related powers are required and accepted.
• Check the receiving party’s wording and validity requirements before use.
WHAT THIS MEANS FOR YOU
A purpose-specific draft with the intended property actions clearly identified.
02 / SERVICE
A company-related POA must reflect both the requested action and the authority of the person granting it. Corporate records may be needed in addition to personal identification.
• Company formation, licence-related actions and administrative representation.
• Share sale or transfer instructions with the parties and permitted acts defined.
• Review of signing capacity, manager powers and supporting resolutions.
• Coordination with the relevant licensing authority or transaction recipient.
WHAT THIS MEANS FOR YOU
A corporate document checklist and a draft aligned with the authorised signatory’s capacity and agreed transaction.
03 / SERVICE
Personal representation can cover a defined administrative or asset-related matter. A limited mandate often makes the intended authority easier for both the representative and recipient to understand.
• Specific administrative matters and document-related representation.
• Vehicle sale, purchase or registration tasks, subject to the receiving authority.
• Clear identification of the principal and appointed representative.
• Consideration of the duration, limitations and whether substitution is permitted.
WHAT THIS MEANS FOR YOU
A clearly bounded mandate that reflects your instructions and the intended recipient’s requirements.
04 / SERVICE
The required formalities depend on where the document is signed and where it will be used. A document prepared abroad may need a different chain of authentication and translation from one executed in the UAE.
• Confirm the appropriate notary channel and identity-verification requirements.
• Coordinate certified translation and legalisation where required.
• Check the recipient’s acceptance of remote or electronically issued documents.
• For cancellation, review the revocation process and how relevant parties should be notified.
WHAT THIS MEANS FOR YOU
A practical execution and acceptance checklist. A draft alone is not a notarised or accepted POA.
03 / PREPARE
The exact document list is confirmed for your circumstances. This checklist helps you prepare for the first discussion.
• Passport and Emirates ID, where applicable, for the principal and representative.
• Correct names, nationality, contact details and the intended use of the document.
• Property title, vehicle registration or other asset record where relevant.
• For companies: trade licence, constitutional documents and evidence of signing authority.
• Any wording or checklist supplied by the bank, developer, authority or recipient.
• For overseas documents: country of issue, intended destination and existing authentication records.
04 / HOW IT WORKS
01 / STEP
Explain what your representative must do, where the document will be used and any limits you want to place on the authority.
02 / STEP
Review identification and supporting records, then prepare the wording for your approval.
03 / STEP
Confirm the notary or signing route, translation and any overseas legalisation requirements.
04 / STEP
Keep the executed document and verification details together and confirm the recipient’s acceptance before relying on it.
05 / PLAN AHEAD
Agree the scope and understand the full picture before proceeding.
• The fee depends on the POA type, complexity, language and execution route.
• Notary, translation, legalisation, courier and other authority charges may be separate.
• Remote execution is subject to the chosen authority’s eligibility, verification and technical requirements.
• Timing is assessed after the documents and recipient requirements are known; a same-day result is not assumed.
06 / ANSWERS
Start with the action you need completed. A specific POA can restrict the mandate to a particular task, while broader authority requires careful consideration. The receiving organisation may insist on express wording even where a document is described as general.
The document should define the authority granted and any limits. Choose the representative carefully and discuss the consequences of payment powers, substitution and other sensitive clauses before signing.
Potential routes include an available remote notary service or execution abroad with the required authentication. Suitability depends on your circumstances and the recipient; it must be checked rather than assumed.
Not necessarily. Banks and other institutions may require specific wording or their own checks. Tell us about every organisation involved before the draft is finalised.
The document’s wording, applicable rules, revocation and the receiving authority’s requirements all matter. Do not assume that every institution accepts every older POA.
Revocation or replacement may be possible through the appropriate process. Notification to the representative and relevant recipients is an important part of preventing further reliance on the old authority.
